<description>The only thing stupider some place like
Stupid Company could do to make the situation
worse would be to place many employees at
that site in front of workstations that
required them to insert their badges into
a slot on the workstation to have access to their
accounts. Nothing like constantly removing
your badge to increase the instances of not
having the badge on your person while walking
into a now-you&#039;re-locked-out area.

Fortunately, such a situation is almost
unimaginable. I&#039;m not sure what made me
think of it.

<description>Still at SC, in the building you were last in, but we have a receptionist now.

<description>I feel very fortunate that I&#039;ve been badge-free for over 10 years now. My office is in an old house, and we have no use for things like that here. It&#039;s nice.

<description>i *still* work at that exact same Stupid Company, and have done for 17 years now. how&#039;s that for a high-order mammal?!

and, yeah, i feel exactly the same way you do about the electronic doors to the caf and fitness center. luckily i haven&#039;t run into too many of those &quot;no tailgaiters&quot; extremists in the courtyard when i&#039;ve forgotten my badge.
