		<description>I had two software positions with a high percentage of women early in my career - which I guess established that balance as the norm in my head. Despite many counter examples since, I still notice the dirth of women in software with surprise.



And I still think: Barriers? What Barriers?



Failing to notice the barriers has worked out well for me too. I recommend it. Pretty soon every else follows suit and it&#039;s not an issue.



Go forth and conquer, ladies. It&#039;s not as hard as you think.
