I’m currently living in the mountains just outside Silicon Valley with Eric and a bunch of cats and chickens. I do contract technical writing for a living. For almost ten years in the 90s I wrote computer books. I don’t do that anymore.

This is the sixth iteration of this web site.

This site is powered by WordPress. The design is based on the Thesis theme from DIY Themes. I worked on my own theme for many months before becoming so mired in details I decided it was a better idea to just go with a professional theme. Thesis has been a dream to work with.

The art nouveau images on each page are out-of-copyright images from XXX. I scanned them and redrew them in Adobe Illustrator. The colors are not the original colors but are appropriate to the time.

All site development was done on a Macintosh Mini and a MacBook laptop with TextWrangler, emacs, and Firefox. I still write HTML and CSS by hand.
